Oh don't worry, I didn't pay anything near this, :P but I'll check out the site. ^.^
I was doing that too; now I've stepped it up and I'm just buying play-sets of the new sets as they come out. :P
4x Common + 4x Uncommon FTW!!

I know it's a little slow and clunky, but is Treefolk Harbinger a fit here at all? It gets distinctly better when it can go hunting for Murmuring Bosk and Colossus and not just Doran and Forest, and might even warrant a singleton Nameless Inversion to go for in case of emergency. (I also suspect 4 Colossus is too much and I would really want at least a couple of Harmonize in there in case of Viper issues, but that could just be me.)
I don't like the tutor creatures because, as you say, they seem too slow. Even though this one gets you lands, Doran, and any shape shifter spell, its still a wall of wood unless Doran is in play.

What I can say about this deck is that it draws gold every time. I run 24 land, which is higher than every other version that I've seen, but I've never had a problem top-decking one awesome spell after another. I suspect its the way the curve works, and the 4 count of tree-tops that helps even things out, and I just see spells like Harmonize, harbinger, and other as slowing the deck down with unnecessary spells. Then again, maybe I just draw/top-deck like a champ. :P

If you were to build a version of this with the Harbinger and the other spells you mentioned, what would it look like finished? (deck list?)
god I hate this deck in standard, Just happy its not that hard to beat
You're playing against unskilled players then, because the only deck I've lost to was mono-blue, and that was with abysmal draws in at least one of the games.
