Core 2013 Cards for Sale

I put most of the rares from a box of Core 2013 I bought on sale on eBay, asking at least $1 each. They have just one day left and many of them have not yet been bid on. Check it out if you're interested: http://www.ebay.com/sch/joporyk/m.html?item=300755574218&sspagename=STRK%3AMESELX%3AIT&rt=nc&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649&_trksid=p4340.l2562

I created the Game Variant: Two Headed Giant (and received no credit for it)

((crossposted))

I've always loved game mechanics.  I love thinking of new games to play and the process of creating them.

Back in the 90's I played Magic.  And I thought of a new game variant that I wrote up and played with my friends.

The game variant was called "Two-Headed Giant."

I liked the game, so I went online and I published my game variant to multiple Magic forums, websites, and even to the Mtg group on livejournal.   That was during the 90's.

Now, today, this morning, I'm reading the newest rulebook for Magic the Gathering and notice there's a Game Variant  section of the rules, and there printed in the rule book is my Game Variant "Two-Headed Giant."   And it's almost word for word exactly the way I wrote it.   Players start with 30 life.  Players on the same team share turns and phases.  On and on, exactly the way I created it.

So they published my idea, which I had already published on the internet a decade ago.  And yet, they gave me no credit for it.

I would have liked to have just gotten a credit for the game which I created.

(( Now I'm gonna have to go through archive.org and see if I can find all the original publications I did when I originally created this game variant. ))

Selling stuff

I opened a few ebay auctions and figured I'd let anyone here know that may be interested.

I came to find out that it is quite a bit of a pain getting setup to sell things on ebay, as there are several hoops and bank allowances that are necessary to accept before they let you sell, as well as that you need to get your shipping rates set, where you want to ship items to, making the listing look nice... No bids on anything yet, but lots of items being watched.

I have TENS of THOUSANDS of cards, if you are interested in something that is not listed on ebay that I may have mentioned in one of my previous journal entries, ask me and I might just sell it/them to you anyway. My contact info is on each of my auctions, just send me an email with what cards you are seeking. My collection spans the years from 1995 to present, but I don't have any power 9 cards, Legends, Arabian Nights, or Antiquities.

If this is spam, than please don't hesitate to remove this.

...but I recently got recession'd, and, as a consequence, I'm ebaying a bunch of MTG cards.

Playsets of the original dual lands (tiaga, underground sea, etc) and the star of my collection: a timetwister.

A day or so left, and they're still kind of reasonable. ebay user name = heavens-to-murgatroyd, or send me a message via LJ, if you're interested.

Magic WebComic

I decided to make some web comics about the unruly bunch that attends my MeetUp for the Magic: the Gathering card game. It's a LOT of fun. I try to make it funny for people who don't know about M:TG as much as I can, but it's mostly jokes about a particular game or Magic in general.

I illustrate the characters in Flash and assemble them and do the text in Photoshop. Let me know what you think! Here's the latest one: Episode Six: "Old School"

Here are the previous episodes:
Episode One - "Welcome to the MeetUp"
Episode Two - "Mythic"
Episode Three - "Shawn's Strategy"
Episode Four - "Jeff's Sneak Attack"
Episode Five - "Rudy Makes Things Difficult"
